SINGLE EMBRYO BEST FOR IVF
Scientists at a UK fertility clinic have reported that a new IVF technique may increase the rate of pregnancy while decreasing the risk of multiple births. The study, published in the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, involved nearly 2500 women over a three-year period and found that implanting a single, more mature embryo improved the chance of a successful pregnancy.

Australian bill about donor use
For more about what happens Down Under, see www.smcaustralia.org, a group of 100 strong. Donors have long had the right to dictate who they want their sperm to go to (married, single, lesbian), but a new bill does make it a formal right. As one Choice Mom explained in March 2008: "The bill has also recommended that the number of families that can use the one donor be reduced from 10 to 5. Currently WA has a limit of 5 and I think SA might too. I think the general feeling is that it will take about 18/24 months or longer for all of the Bill to be organized and have a start date set."
